Wayne Francis did an excellent job playing his bagpipes for my Daughter and Grandsons funeral. It was cold and raining but he stood out there playing as we arrived to the cemetery. He waited until the service was over and played Amazing Grace. It lifted my spirit on the worst day of my life…I highly recommend.
Wayne did an amazing job. When my Dad passed away, we knew we had to send him off with dignity and reverence. The beauty of bagpipes is that you feel the sound in your bones and in your heart, it’s not something that can be reproduced with even the best audio equipment. It is truly magical. I wanted to find the best bagpiper in Baltimore and I found him with Wayne. He definitely knows what he is doing, and beyond that, he was thoughtful and caring for the entire family. He was really a part of our service that I think everyone will remember as a special moment forever.
I met Wayne at a book club meeting. We became friends. When my husband and I not only renewed our wedding vows of 25 years but celebrated the sacrament of marriage in the Catholic Church, we wanted to create a day honoring our ancestors and heritage. Last year I lost my Mother at 89 and she was so thrilled that our Church wedding was being planned. She passed before this happened so we honored her. We chose March 17th, 2023 ( as she was also 100% Irish from Armagh) on what would have been her 90th birthday, I wore my Grandmother’s dress from 100 years ago and our new rings were from Ireland. Where does Wayne fit in? Wayne played the traditional Scottish bagpipes outside the main entrance to the chapel. He then played the smaller, gentler Irish bagpipes to walk my Grandchildren, Daughters and my husband and myself into the chapel to the alter. It was so lovely, perfect and just the right touch to show respect, adoration and thanks to the women who raised me to be who I am today. Wayne’s talents for bagpipes are for many occasions and are so joyous – think of him for all types of happy occasions, parties, bon voyage events, welcome home, got into college, made it through college or any other gathering! He is a very dear and special person. I can’t thank you enough. 🙏🍀💕

Wayne played 4 songs for my mother’s funeral service, with 2 songs each on bagpipes and Irish whistle. It was very moving and added a lot to the service. Wayne was on time and helpful in setup too.
I was happy to see Wayne, who I know slightly, at my mother-in-law’s beautiful and small funeral. He arrived before the service started, took a seat near the back, and was respectfully present for the full funeral mass. He then stood outside and played the bagpipes outside the church as our small group progressed from the church to the far reaches of the grounds.
It was an incredibly dismal, cold day. It rained continuously. Bagpipes sounded like musical grief in this setting. I appreciated that Wayne played on regardless of the terrible weather. He played beautifully and was a wonderful presence throughout.
We hired Wayne to play at my mother in laws funeral. We spoke to him twice before the day to discuss and make sure we had timing and songs lined up. He arrived on time in very bad weather, he stood out in freezing rain and played beautifully, though I can only imagine his entire body was frozen. The music was beautiful. Thank you Wayne

Mr. Francis played at my husband’s funeral. I would recommend him as highly qualified. His music is beautiful and “going home” to me was very meaningful. He is open to all suggestions and very easy to work with.
Mr. Francis delivered a wonderful service for a dear family friend on June 16, 2021. He worked with the funeral director, Honor Guard and family seamlessly. Mr. Francis played multiple songs for the entire funeral service. I’ve seen Mr. Francis play the pipes multiple times and each time he delivers the right mood with his pipes.
Wayne was just the right person at just the right time to enhance our Celebration of Life event. His piping was superb and his friendly, accommodating demeanor was truly appreciated by all.
